Tesla Roadster Colors

The Tesla Roadster was an electric vehicle that was both fast and stylish, and it was produced between 2008 and 2012. In the days before the Roadster came out to the public, EVs were unable to attract this kind of attention. The groundbreaking model S led to Tesla producing the Model S, which led to Tesla’s ever-increasing production of mainstream EVs.

Due to Tesla’s incredible and diverse lineup, some people tend to ignore the original Roadster, but it is the one that started it all.

As the most colorful Tesla production car, the Roadster offered a wide array of exterior and interior colors.

There are a lot of factors to consider when building the first Tesla Roadster. In fact, it would have been easier for Elon and JB to build a car from scratch rather than transform the Lotus Elise into an electric vehicle.

The Lotus Elise’s profile contributed to the fun and speed of the original Tesla Roadster, and its conversion to an EV demonstrated that a production-scale electric vehicle was possible.

With regard to color options, the original Tesla Roadster came in thirteen to fifteen colors (compared to the core five colors currently available). A wide range of interior color options were also available during production, with nine colors being offered.

2009 Tesla Roadster Colors (2.0)

The 2.0 version of Tesla’s Roadster didn’t change too much in its second year of production. Its most notable enhancement was a slight increase in range (244 miles, up from 231) and horsepower (288, up from 282).

A 53 kWh battery pack was retained, as well as the same interior and exterior colors as 2008’s Roadster.

2020/2023 Tesla Roadster Colors

In 2017, Tesla unveiled the new Roadster to the world and shocked the world. Originally scheduled to begin production by 2020, Tesla’s 2020 Roadster was delayed by several years as a result of industry-wide delays and difficulties. The Roadster is expected to be produced and delivered by 2023, according to current projections.

According to Tesla, its base model’s 1/4 time was 8.9 seconds, range was 620 miles, and 0-60 time was 1.9 seconds.

Tesla’s iconic Red Multi-Coat appears to be on prototypes, followed by some form of white. Since the 2020 Roadster hasn’t been introduced yet, it’s hard to speculate on the exact colors.

The 2020 (now 2023) Tesla Roadster should be offered in the following colors, based on Tesla’s commitment to keeping their core five colors.

I cannot stress enough how great the Red Multi-Coat looks on any Tesla Roadster (old or new), and I would recommend it to anyone.

The Roadster truly is the best color on a sports car, and we don’t see any exception here with it. A popular saying holds that “all Corvettes are red — the rest are just mistakes.” There is a reason most Ferraris are red, and there is also a reason the Roadster is always red in Tesla’s marketing materials.
